We build software and publish written work about appearance — skin, hair, and the other visible things people try to track and mostly can't, because change that happens over months is nearly impossible to judge from memory.
AY Media Services LLC is an independent studio registered in West Virginia. The studio was founded and is operated by a board-certified dermatologist.
It exists because most consumer information about appearance is written by marketers rather than clinicians, and because the tools people use to track themselves rarely reflect how bodies actually change over time. Our products are built to be honest about what consumer products can and cannot do, and clear about where medical care belongs.

How we work
Clinical accuracy first
Product recommendations and educational content are written from standard dermatologic practice, not from commercial partnerships. Where we participate in affiliate programs, that participation does not determine what we recommend or how recommendations are ordered.
Tracking, not diagnosing
Our software helps people observe and record change over time. It does not attempt medical diagnosis, and we are explicit about that boundary in every product.
Privacy as a default
Research participation is opt-in and off unless a user turns it on. Any data used for research is de-identified first. People should be able to track something as personal as their own face without wondering what happens to it.
Long time horizons
Nothing we build promises a verdict this afternoon. We build for the person who wants to know what is actually happening over months.
